This issue offers one hospital’s perspective on parallels between its quality improvement work and its efforts to prevent the spread of H1N1. A participant in the Clinical Quality Fellowship Program is interviewed about the project he undertook through the program and its results. Other articles highlight successes of the Rapid Response System Collaborative (a significant reduction in code-blue calls) and the C. difficile Collaborative (an 18 percent infection rate decline).
