Quality Collaborative, Summer 2009
The summer 2009 issue of Quality Collaborative presents an inteview with Maimonides Medical Center's Ob/Gyn Chairman Howard Minkoff, MD, in which he explains the "bundle" of perinatal practices at the heart of the Perinatal Safety Collaborative. This issue's guest columnist is Montefiore Medical Center's President Steven M. Safyer, MD, who explains the importance of staff and leadership participation in making the C. difficile Collaborative work. An article about the Critical Care Leadership Network discusses both its accomplishments over the past year and its ambitious plans for the coming months. And the issue also features the second in a series of interviews with members of the first class of the Clinical Quality Fellowship Program: Pranav Mehta, MD, of Metropolitan Hospital, discusses both his experience in the program and his project to improve patient safety related to anticoagulation therapy.
